The regular season started with 32 teams as per the norm and we now have 12 which will proceed to the NFL Playoffs and will be in contention for the Super Bowl. We know the Patriots have the best odds, not only to make the Big Game but win the game.

Their first seed finish in the regular season will mean that they will get to play their matches at home until the conference finals which gives them a home advantage. There is no hiding that the Patriots have the best odds to win this years Super Bowl but they will face stiff competition from other teams. Most analysts and pundits have given have the Patriots odds to win Super Bowl 2018 at about 6/1.
The following are some of the biggest challengers to the Patriots for this years Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl will be held at the Vikings home ground in Minnesota. They finished as the second seed in the NFC conference and they will also be a top contender for the championship. If they go ahead to lift the title this year, they will become the first team to win it in their home ground.
The Eagles finished the regular season at the top position of the NFC conference. Again, the home advantage in the divisional and conference round might give them the boost to reach the the finals. They had a 13-3-0 record in the regular season.
The Steelers finished as the second seed behind the Patriots in the AFC. Pittsburgh Steelers had a 13-3-0 record in the regular season and they also have a very decent team. Their odds to take this years championship are around 9/2. The Steelers will feel hard done by the officiating of their last match against the Patriots in the regular season and will have something to prove in the playoffs.
The wild-card teams in these years playoffs include the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills from the AFC and Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons from the NFC. The wild-card games are harder to predict which way the momentum will swing and going by history you can only take a wild guess. Who knows, there might be a surprise in the offing.
To sum it up, the Super Bowl LII title race is still an open race and any of the 12 teams still have a chance at the trophy. However, the clear facts that show that some teams like the Patriots are favorites. In the long history of the Super Bowl there have been plenty of surprises though and it is therefore advisable not to rule out any outcome.
